'98 TJ Warranty?

Is a '98 TJ covered by Chrysler's 7/70 powertrain warranty or just the basic

3/36?

Thanks

My '98 TJ has just under 41K miles and was diagnosed with some form of differential problem. I won't know what the extent problem until Monday whether it's bearing or ring and pinion gears or what (like I'd know the differrence).

Now that I know that I don't have the 7/70, what do you think my chances are of receiving any consideration from Jeep/Chrysler/Daimler? I mean...only 41K miles...come on guys, that's nothing, right?

Any suggestions on how to best try to handle this (besides simply grabbing my wallet) would be most appreciated.

If it matters, I have the Dana 44 with LSD.

Thanks for all of your previous responses...this group is great!
