I'd like to add that with many people (Spammers included), if you give them an inch, they'll take a mile: In this case, it was a pretty ridiculous 'testimonial' ad.
If this guy had been honest, I think he would have gotten a better response... Come in, said, "I've got this new product, what do you think?" it probably would have gone over much better...
