Re: Anyone with Rubicon Express on their CJ?

A local here has put that kit on a CJ7 and raves about it. The springs are actually the 2.5" YJ width up front, and they give you shackles, U bolts & spring plates to adapt the front to that spec.

I'm sure it will give him the Lift he wants. But, will it give him the Ride he wants?

I went with a Skyjacker 2" - 2 1/2" lift for my CJ-7 using OME shocks. I figured it was the closest thing to an OME ride that I could afford. I'm happy with the ride though it isn't as nice as 100% OME.

RE spring lifts ride extremely well. Shocks tune the ride, with OME & Doetsh

3000's probably being the best choices. RE now offers a variety of shock choices when you order from them.

I concur with the RE springs. They are the best ones I've had yet with a good combination of ride quality and flex. My 4.5" springs haven't sagged at all after two years (that I've noticed). I've never used the Old Man Emu kit, however, but have heard nothing but great things about them. Probably can't go wrong either way.
