Definitely because of me. Maybe a wee bit of because of youse guys but not much. Though the next person that says "That's not a real Jeep" is gonna get a fat lip.

I only ever had one family type car and I'm sure ya'll could see by what I was doing with teh Liberty that I was about to be frustrated. Life is too short to have Jeep envy. Though dang it- I wish I could have kept the Liberty too I love that little rig. I still defend it. It's a damn nice vehicle. I just MUST GO TOPLESS!!!

Hell Jenn.. I've already been to the dark side a coupe of times, I just lost the directions.

Congrats, Kate! My TJL is white too, with a grey top. Love going topless myself, though I haven't lifted mine off yet. (Must install a winch - the Unl. tops are heavy and I can't do it by myself.) I'll have photos up soon.

Per your query, OEM hItch receivers for TJ's are dirt cheap. Check out:

The OEM wiring harnesses are top-quality and come with an insulated standard RV plug that mounts directly into the electical box on the reciever. Very nice, tidy design. Highly recommended. I installed everything by myself with no welding in about 2 hours.

I don't know squat about winches - others here can help with that, I'm sure. Haven't bought one myself, but I'm pretty sure I'll go with the aluminum OEM front tubular bumper when I do. I'm an Urban Crawler and don't get up into the hills often enough.

Of course I dont go every year (cant afford to, to many trails, not enough $), but then again, maybe I could make an exception.... that or meet up in CO - I need a good excuse to wheel there. One of the guys from work is moving back there - we were talking about Holy Cross and some of the other trails in that area this afternoon.
