I'd like to get a regular compass for the dash but am skeptical about the $3.99 variety in Wally World, K-Fart and Auto Parts stores. I know it sounds silly in this day and age with GPS's, but the GPS I have my eye on is $500 and it's a few months 'till Xmas .
My question is: Does anyone have a suggestion for or a manufacturer name of a decent compass? (trivial, I know, but I want a good one )
Second: I'm still running the original Goodyear GSA's (30x9.5)with 47K miles on them (don't say it, I know...) and I'm getting a very noticeable (not severe) steering wheel shake when hitting bumps on curves. (tires getting sloppy?) I'm thinking the steering stabilizer may need replacement but I'm not sure about it. Are there any surefire ways to tell if it needs replacement and if it does, (I'm thinking it can't be THAT difficult) are there any "gotchas" I should know about? I've never done one before.
BTW- '03 TJ Sport.
Thanks in advance.
