265/75/16 tyres

Will 265/75/16's fit my 96 disco with 1" lift ? seen some bfg AT's today and they looked good - will the width cause them to rub ?

the only definitive answer is to try it. They're about the same nominal diameter as 235/85; i.e. about 30+mm bigger than standard.

Neil is running piglet on 235/85 (which are about the same diameter) with 2" lift. It fouled, so he had to trim the rear arches.

Anything bigger than standard is going to cause the arches to run on a Disco, regardless of lift. Whilst the lift might move the wheels out of the way while you're sat still (and largely keep the wheels out of the way whilst on the road), in a crossaxle the wheel will still head north up into the wheelarch and fowl it. Regardless of lift you basically have

2 options. You can either stick with 205R16 tyres or you can modify the bodywork. If you don't do either you end up with the bodywork modifying your expensive new tyres for you ;)
