Does anyone know what size socket i need for the nuts are that go onto the stub axle and hold the wheel bearings in??
The largest i have is 32mm, and i think that it is nearer 50mm.
I assume that it is metric???

52mm, they are available as a abox spanner from l/r dealers

Mind, I did mine with an engineer's clamp.
If you don't have such a thing, this won't help.
it's a special clamp with 2 screws, designed to move the 2 jaws parallel.
Mind you, you can also use a moderate-sized hammer :-)
Bah, bunch o' whinging wimmin. I've used a hammer and a chisel for that job for years, and I can still do a better job of it that certain "professional" garages can with a box spanner.
