Best thing to stick ally plate to disco door

I've got the usual Disco back door rust bubble problem and want tidy it. It's only on the bottom 1" and in two spots. I'm thinking of fitting a piece of aluminium plate with a speckled effect, five bar would look odd as the strip is narrow and i could not make it any wider due to LR's infinite wisdom of putting a crease in the bottom 2" of the door!!

What would be the best to stick it on - I was thinking of Sikaflex or failing that gripfill !!

I don't really want to rivet it as this would just accelerate the rusting from electrolysis.

Cheers

Silkaflex is the dogs dangalies.. 3/4 of the items in my motorhome i built are held in place with that stuff,

solar panels are fitted to motorhome roofs with silka nowadays, as their owners seem overly worried about holes in the roof for bolts leaking... yet they don't mind the big hole the cable comes in through, or the bolts that hold the roof vents on, or TV aerial etc :)

Most of the alli trim on the van's exterior is held on with silkaflex..erm.. the iveco badges are held on with silkaflex too.. they used to get nicked every other week untill i silkaflexed them on.. the back one has a few broken edges of the letters from people trying to get it off.

On the main tech page it says to hit the continue button to carry on. Where abouts is the continue button hidden?. I have tried looking in both firefox and IE.
