Sorry for bother your news group.
I recently bought a Danita 1240 (27 MHz) from UK (ebay) to fit in my Disco.
When I got it home to good old Sweden I found out that you use different frequencies (Channel 1-40=27.60125 - 27.99125 MHz) than the rest of Europe (Channel 1-40=26.965-27.405 MHz).
Anyone out there that has a "European" CB and want to swap?
Anyone with other suggestions?

Any reputable cb dealer *can* alter it, although here in the uk, that would be illegal - certainly it used to be. Many dealers did it though...
It is in theory a very simple modification to the Phase Lock Loop circuit, and indeed one used to be able to get 'extra 40' channel conversions to uk cb27/81 sets (which it sounds like you have) giving the european CEPT channels.

Currently we get both but the Uk ones end July 2010. Hence cheap 40 channel UK spec radios on Ebay.
