cross ply tyres

I have an odd pair, Firestone 7.50x16 LT and Goodyear 7.50x16 c, of

6ply cross plies with lots of tread. The Michelin 7.50 R 16 XCLs that my 110 was demobbed with have done a further 80k kms and are looking a bit low.

Will the crossplies stand the load as rears on a 110? Is it still legal to fit xplies on the rear with radials on the front?

If not where's a good source for the 10ply XCLs the army use now?

Yup I meant xzl, I have a pair on the front. Is there a good reason they were changed? What's the difference between a wolf rim and a 110 one?

I found the G90s wore too fast, 3 stops down the motorway verses 6 quid cheaper and free delivery mmm decisions decisions.....

Wolfs (Wolves?) are wider, and are a welded rim rather than riveted so you can put tubeless tyres on 'em. IIRC, natch.

OK, given the lower rating I've decided to donate the xplies to a lightweight project and buy new radials for the rear.
