Disco ECU

May 09, 2004 2 Replies

I'm on the lookout for a flash-programmable ECU to replace the non-flashable one I have in my 1999 Discovery TD5 Manual.

Anybody know where I can get one for less than the £300+ required for a Genuine Part? Not a hookey one of course...

TIA David

non-flashable

David,

Just bear in mind that you may not be able to get the 2002-on flash-type ECU to work with the 1999-2002 engines.

This isn't fact, but experience and information given to me a couple of years ago by my local dealer. It may be possible now with Rovacom/Autologic, but at the time it definitely wasn't.

ECUs pop up now and again on eBay, worth keeping a look out. For info, the ECU for the manual is the same across both vehicles after 2002 - it's NNN000120.

If you do get hold of one and manage to get it programmed, please let me know how you did it! :o)
