I have just collected what I am told is a sherpa engine that I intend fitting into my series 3. Any advice from someone who has done this?????????????????
It looks just like a 2.25 diesel landy engine except the injector pump has been turned through 90 degrees and is run of the front of the engine, there is a vacuum pump where the injector pump was and the water pump is different and it has an oil cooler piped from the oil filter housing.
Does that sound right?
Also do these engines use the same type of starter motor?
