I'm going to the Yorkshire Dales next week. Does anyone have recent experience of the green lanes in the Hawes area? I note from the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority website that a few of the lanes have yet to be TROd (!) in particular High Lane (Stake Road), Stalling Busk to Cray, Busk Lane, Bainbridge and Cam High Road, Fleet Moss to Bainbridge. I shall have my 1993 Range Rover Classic 200 TDi full of friends so what I'm really looking for is "short cuts" which will give me a chance to play but won't break the car (it's my daily driver) and won't result in me getting shouted out for driving to dangerous places :-) TIA.PS: do any of you have favourite ways of taking their significant others green laning without them realising (until it's too late, I mean)? You know: "this is definitely a short-cut and it's on the map as a proper road, so it'll be fine" sort of thing...
