While the heads are similar,the TD has bigger exhaust valves - I suspect that this would lead to performance problems.

Got a feeling that they are different, can't remember which part(s) though. I know the compression ratios are different but not sure if the difference is made up in the head or the pistons. Anyway, i've may have one for you very soon as the bottom end of an engine i;ve been given is U/S so once its had a couple more tests is may be surplus to requirements.
