probably - trying to decipher these things on an iPaq isnt easy, and brain jumped to a conclusion
The biggest conclusion so far is "why didnt i go private?"

Typical; neighbour of mine got a ticket because he had the BULGE of the tyre over the drop paving slab.
Given my experience so far today of BUPA's staff, I'd say "don't bother"... There's two arms to the company, the side with the medical knowledge, and the side with the access to the lists of approved consultants, and never the twain shall meet. I get referred by the bunch with the numbers to cardiology specialists, then I phone the medical lot pointing out that there's nowt wrong with my heart, it's something near-ish my heart, i.e. within about 4 feet. Medical lot say that cardiologists are entirely inappropriate but they don't have access to the consultant lists so can't select anyone suitable!
Result is that I have to do all the phoning around NHS specialists asking who can do private, and hoping BUPA will pick up the tab as the people who have access to their approved specialists don't know an arse from an elbow (not that there's anything wrong with my arse or elbow). But they are all very apologetic and have First Class Honours in saying "sorry but there's nothing I can do", so that's all right then... I now have a claims number for a consultant I don't need to see in a hospital that's 3 hours drive from me.
In Croydon I had a car park ticket blow off the dashboard onto the floor, parking warden ticketed me but noted on the form that the ticket appeared to have fallen on the floor. Despite me effectively having broken the rules, the council waived the fine after a brief phone call and a confirmation from the warden. I think it helped that I caught the warden and showed her the valid ticket, but the rules had still been broken so they're not *all* jobsworths.
BTW according to a traffic warden, the stuff about the ticket having been served as soon as they start to write it out is BS, if they're writing it and you drive away, the ticket hasn't been served and isn't valid. This doesn't apply to proper traffic police tickets though, they can issue them and fine you without you ever knowing.

I've always had my own NHS GP recommend someone private for the job knowing I have medical insurance, and the insurers have always approved of that specialist. Mind you, I don't use BUPA.
Yeah I think that's the plan, I've got no experience of the health industry until recently, just learning the ropes. Blasted sawbones, can't be as bad as garages I hope ;-)
I'd love to see how they would attempt to do something about a Scammell Explorer or any other piece of WW2 ironmongery. (or even a JCB for that matter)
