I want to get more torque en horse power out of my Defender TD5 Now I heard some good and some bad stories about worn of engine and drivertrain. Need some advise, what is good stuff and what things I better don't do regarding power upgrades

The man on the link below is generally considered to be one of the best for this sort of thing.
Jeremy did his Stage 2 to my TD5. It is transformed, it is quieter, smoother and much, much quicker. I have also changed the transfer box ratios to those from a Disco 2 giving me the ability to cruise on the motorway whilst listening to the radio!
