It's for target practice for them towing 50mm guns. I think that classes as a sporting use anyway.

Can't fault that chap, Chris his name is. Nice pad he's got too. String of MG's in various states of Disrepair on the drive. Looks like he suffers a similar affliction to ourselves. Cost me £75 a carb but well worth it. Morph now sounds much much better on tickover and accelerates like a proper engine should. Less spitting and spluttering. Hopefully even better tomorrow when I pick up me new leads.

I spoke to the bloke at car-gas today. He says not to bother with doing owt to the carbs if your going to LPG it - as the LPG only relys on the throttle plate, and the condition of the needle and valve is irrelevant unless you want to run it on petrol too. That saves me some pennies! :)
I also had a nice discussion about tank fitting on ambi's.
I'm very tempted to go back with the credit card tommorrow and buy meself a kit. The saab can be the practise fitting, and then i can do the 101, by which time i will be better at it!

Assuming that you're going to abandon petrol entirely you'd be better off with a new intake manifold and proper LPG carb.

I wasnt going to totally abandon petrol - but i dont imagine that i would use it much if i had the option of lpg instead. The car runs on the carb - but its very rich due to wear and theres something going on with the vent valve that seems to affect the idle speed. These should be irrelevant if its not using petrol - but it can run (badly) on petrol if the need arose.

Bah......overnight support session took too long - not enough time after requisite sleep hours to go anywhere :(
We don't want people in big 4x4's driving while asleep - not a good thing.
