WTD: Rear light for ex-MOD?

Posting for a friend.

He wants one of those jam jar screw on rear lights (so he says) for a newly acquired 2.5n/a 110 '89 (?) ex-MOD. Anyone got one, or know where one might be got? And, if so, how much?

An URL for just one would earn his eternal gratitude and enable you to tell me "I told you so"! I wouldn't wonder he'd also erect a twelve foot statue of yourself in his back garden. But I don't think you'll find one. Try reading my post again.

And if I sound a bit techy it's probably because I have wasted yet more time doing searches on Ebay for wot aint there!

Bruce got one for our Lightweight at Anchor Supplies in Ripley when we went up the other week. They had more than one I believe.

How many does he need and what sort would be a great help!

I happen to have a shelf laden with odd ones in the garage which came in morph as spares, but brake/stop ones aren't amoungst them... so I do have

Indicator, white/clear Fog

Does he want just lenses... or the screw mount or the whole thing including the socket and rubber sheath????????

And yes I did read the post in full, they do get listed regularly on Ebay although a quick search reveals none at this very second.

An if you can't work out craddocks url yourself then I give up...

HTH.

Hi Derry,

look for "NATO" rear lights - that's more likely to get hits for you than jam jar screw on ;)

Hi Willie,

I actually did a search on "Land Rover rear light", then ditto/lamp. Zilch, as confirmed elsewhere.

Just replaced the scored swivel housings on the 300Tdi. Felt positively guilty keeping all that fun to myself as I know how you like getting your hands dirty. That one shot grease is lovely stuff. It really does penetrate everywhere! :(

I got mine from Landranger Services in Middlewich Cheshire 01606,834981. These lamps are not cheap - which is probably why somebody nicked one of mine. There's also an ex-mil specialist in Hinstock Shropshire, near Market Drayton. Unfortunately I can't remember his name - perhaps someone else can.
