Removal of warnig stickers off sun visor

Feb 27, 2005 4 Replies

Does anybody know how to remove airbag warning stickers off of the cloth sun visors? I'm trying to remove them with out doing any damage to the cloth visor.

You can remove the stickers by gently heating them with a hair dryer to no more than 120 f. and gently lifting off starting at the corners. The glue may be another mater, if the glue is fresh most solvents will remove it somewhat, if the auto is much older than six months it becomes much more difficult. I suggest you try the solvent in a inconspicuous aria first as the visors on a GS are about $250 each. I wish you lots of luck and keep us posted as to the results.

To reply to this email please remove the AT after the kgs in the reply to address as shown above.

That explains why these stickers all come loose during the hot Florida summers.

Don't do it.

I removed one of those from a mattress and the cops showed up within 3 hours!

That's right! Remember the sheep in the Serta Mattress ad. Poor sonuvabitch wound up in jail. ;-)
