snipped-for-privacy@gmail.com ( snipped-for-privacy@gmail.com) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying :

Pre or post facelift?

Parkers reckons £3710 for a pre-facelift '99/T from an indie dealer, £4130 for a '99/T facelift, £4350 for '99/V.

If it's facelifted, then it sounds like the price you paid reflected the faults.

There is something in the Sales of Goods Act about buying a car from a Motor Trader you have some kind of warranty even if they don't say so. If you ask on uk.legal.moderated someone there would know.

A common fault to overlook especially on a nice day are potentially expensive heater/fan problems. Pretend like its the depths of winter with wipers, washers, heaters and fans. Folks often move cars on in good weather with known faults such as above.

Just an IMHO.
