Clarion Diversity Radio / Nissan

Hi There,

1994 Nissan Primera, Clarion Diversity Radio. Can't get my iPod onto the C-Bus interface by crossing pins 5 and 9 and turning the headunit into ACCS mode, just doesn't work, so looking to buy a new radio.

I've seen it discussed here, and that there's an adapter available, but alas, no one's provided a link.

I have a Clarion, Diversity RDS gizmo radio, must have been with the car. Question is though, its got a two prong affair for the radio aerial in the back. A bit of a search indicates this is because its two aerials, the power one on the rear quarter, and the heated rear screen.

Is that right? I would have thought that it's power to the power/electric antenna, but alas, I don't know.

Anyhow, I've ordered a new CLarion radio to plug my iPod into, and looking therefore for a suitable converter lead for the aerial.

Any ideas where to acquire this thing? Halfords might do it, but it seems so specialist for Clarion radios, they might not. It's not like an ISO interface eh? Anything out there on the net?

Cheers Simon

Justin ( snipped-for-privacy@simtext.plus.com) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying :

That's why it's called a "Diversity" radio - because it does "diversity tuning" - two aerials, compares the signals, uses the stronger of the two.

I never even saw the logo "Diversity" on it, until I heard that it might be a Diversity radio!

LOL! (gah - shoot me)
