Over the last few weeks on sky now, I've now caught up on almost all of the last 4 'seasons', and been entertained watching some of the revealed technical bits not as dumbed down as they can be on other shows.

The indifference acting between Edd and Mike, where Edd laid on an acted strop at the initial car delivery, unfortunately turned into something real - negativity breeds like a cancer, actors sometimes become affected by the tragic characters that they are playing :-(

Modern TV producers like to put this element of "drama" into factual shows. It's silly and misplaced, like what has been done to Top Gear.

Concentrate on technical intrigue and history - that is what the show is showcasing. If I want to watch aspects of human behaviour, I'd rather turn on a Soap....

Thankfully, most of my "TV" watching is programmes made for YouTube where the topic mostly has prime focus.

It's all about watering it down to appeal to a wider audience. In that it very possibly succeeds - but may also alienate those with a true interest in the main subject of the show.

Also, filming an interview with someone - where of course they always break down into tears - is very much easier than shooting the actual work done on the car or whatever.
