The drivers side window on my Avensis makes a creaking noise for a few seconds at the end of its travel upwards as tho the motor doesn't want to shut down. No other problem with it ..... switch stops/starts at any other point of travel. What is causing this and is there an easy fix ? Thanks for any help.

Tried lubricating the regulator and cleaning out the rubber guides inside the door?

The cause of this is that the wire rope that moves the regulator up and down is frayed and will ultimately break. New regulator = £200 S/H one is like hobby horse dung.
