Espace Diesel Smoke

Mar 21, 2006 2 Replies

Hi,

Arrived at work after a 6min drive, very cold.

Reversed to parking space and saw bluey smoke under the car. I turned it off and jumped out. I first thought it was the exhaust or a fire but it was coming out of a small 1/inch dia pipe parallel to the exhaust the pipe looks like it comes from the turbo.

A few mins later the car worked fine and no probs.

Was this just an excess or something discharge ?

Las thursday I had injector problems but that was dirty fuel. Greenflag called and arrived, flat on the front of the truck. The next truck arrived, drove the car on, then as he drove at the renualt garage he revved the car up and the smoke and blockage cleared.

I then drove away with a big smile, since I had avoided the bill from the garage.

The exhaust from the Diesel burning auxilary heater.

Normal.

Tim..

Tim,

Ta. So it was very cold, -4degs I think. I did have the double light fast demister on so does the diesel heater burn diesel to warm the interior or the turbo ?
