Hi.
Hopefully someone can tell me what the problem is so I can fix it.
- When car is stationary and idling over, If I turn the steering wheel left or right, I can hear a grinding/groaning noise while turning the steering wheel. As soon as I stop turning the steering wheel the noise stops.
- It is worse when at full right or full left lock as the grinding/groaning noise becomes constant at full lock even though the steering wheel is no longer moving at the extremities of the steering range.
- When car is stationary and revved above say 1k RPM, there is no problem when i turn the steering wheel to full lock either side. as in no noise.
- When the car is moving, there is no problem with the steering at all noise wise.
- It has only started since the snow fell, so am wondering if that might be related or simply pure coincidence?
Regards,
Stephen
