Honda Jazz space saver wheel

I acquired a 2010 Honda Jazz last year, and decided to acquire a space saver wheel rather than rely on the blow up gunge they provide as standard.

I was fortunate to acquire via eBay for only £11 an MG ZR ROVER 25 45 ZS

400 SPACE SAVER WHEEL.

I have just got round to buying the Anchor bolt and plate from Honda to fix it in the boot, these were: Bolt anchor 79mm Part number: 83853-SA7-980 @ £6.58 plus VAT Anchor plate, Part number: 83850-SD2-000 @ £5.76 plus VAT

Along with the already existing jack and tool kit - I am now ready to cope in the event of a puncture.

Thought I should share these details - for the record.

My previous Jazz (2007) had a spacesaver wheel. When I got the new Jazz, I kept the wheel. The dealer wasn't bothered. I fixed it in place with some heavy duty velcro straps. I'm glad I've got it - just had 2 punctures in 2 weeks !

The genuine Honda spacesavers come up on ebay from time to time but you might have to wait a while.

Sorry to pour cold water on a great idea, but, if these are not standard issue for your particular model of Jazz, you need to tell your insurers.
