I've just bought a 2001 Laguna 1.8 sport tourer & since it has been driven by my wife the voice synthesizer no longer comes on to warn of door open etc. It all worked fine for a few days after purchase but now nothing. I've pressed the 2 buttons on the dash in different orders but to no avail.
Is there a proceedure I should follow to re enable the voice notification..
Any suggests gratefully received..

Its probably learned that it cant get a word in edge-wise so don't try anymore!!
This the new shape or old one?
With my new shape one.. press the voice button after putting the ignition on and it gives the welcome speech...
If that works.. then try pressing and holding the "door lock" button on the centre console near the gear stick.. hold it in the lock position - it should speak "Autolocking system activated"
See if that works.
