I very much doubt they're 195/60/16s. Much more likely to be 205/50/16...

Definetely 195/60s (according to listing in Ebay). What's the difference between the two sizes in terms of ride change?

Will changing the wheels change the gearing/speedo/etc (currently 185/65/14)

Mk1's and Mk2's have 195's, the Mk3's have 205's

Are you sure that they havent been swapped at some time, my 2.0 GLX has 15" wheels. my dads 1.8 has 14"

Some Si's are 5 stud i believe, have a good look, otherwise stand one of your wheels next to the Si wheel, if they are the same height then your OK, any difference will alter gearing ratios and speedo display..

Nope but they will degrade your fuel consumption.

I've got one of the last MK2's and its got 205/50/16s. Its the Zetec model. Think the LX comes with different sizes though.
