Rear window heater element repair

I've discovered that the rear window element doesn't work for much of the lower part of the window. Upon inspection it appears there's quite a bit of damage to the tracks (multiple bits missing/different colour on the same track).I'm aware of the silver paint method (mask it off, paint it on). But as the normal lines are very dark, having silver repair bits would be a bit unsightly (on a 2.5 year old car). I doubt that the Ford warranty would extend to the element tracks, particularly as there's multiple 'failures' in the same track (so not burnt out) - more likely external damage - which would not be covered.Is there a repair paint which is black, rather than silver? Alternatively, any other suggestions on how to fix (rather than replacing the whole window). I can probably live with how the window is if I can't find a suitable solution.ThanksD
