Hi,husband is trying to put fan belt on our 2001 Espace and having an absolute nightmare, any advice.........please

Find the tensioner and loosen it.
there are at least 4 different engines, then there are variants for with air conditioning etc.
The adjustment may be manual or spring loaded, the route of the belt may be extremely convoluted and of course, it is French.
