harged me =A380 to diagnose a faulty ABS sensor - fair enough.
Its now been a week and about 15 phone calls trying to get them book my car back in to have this done. Their excuse - they need to go back through the filed paperwork to see what needs ordering !!! I've had about 10 excuses of calls back as well.
Went in to see them today and told them I wasnt happy. Their excuse - they havent got time to go through the paperwork and sort this out and order the part for me because they're busy doing other stuff and they 'might' get aound to it next week.
Translated: We've got your money for the easy job of diagnosing the fault and now cant be bothered to compelte the job.

What about the second hand sensor you got?

Did they accurately diagnose the problem as you asked and paid for? If they did, then they had completed their contract with you and are under no obligation to actually carry out any repair work - that involves a another contract to be made.
Perhaps they have heard of your wheel alignment fiasco a few weeks ago with another garage in the area and would rather not deal with you any further - you must be a "client from hell"

Nice turn of language I must say!

There are more problems from customers like you trying to 'con' garages than vice-versa!

Umm. Exactly how am I trying to con them ?

Looking on Google groups at you history of making complaints about various garages, I think that is self explanatory - as a matter of interest, I think I'll pop into TWA over the next few days and draw their attention to these and other posts you have made.
From your writings, I'm sure they'll have no trouble recognising who you are and will probably contact you at some stage - or pass on your details to the various garages in and around Newport.
Should be interesting!

'making complaints about various garage' - Umm, two...
I'm a bit scared now that you're going to tell TWA about me ;-)
What are you - the garage protector or something? Why do you have such an issue about people complaining abouit bad service? More to the point - dont you have anything better to do?
You must lead a sad and lonely life if you're really going to visit a garage to tell them that someone on the internet has been complaining about them....

Both in the same ilk - just because they upset - and you were wrong!
Shiver in your shoes then!
I'm all for complaining about bad service (in fact, when I complained last year, I saved over £250 by doing so correctly) - but not when there's nothing to complain about!
Lots, especially winding up idiots like you!
Sad and lonely life? Just think what a life you have when all you do is complain about garages who seem to be doing a reasonable job - talk about throwin' your toys out of the pram in a tantrum fit!
"...internet has been complaining about them" I did that two years ago with a local garage - someone was doing exactly what you have just done - and I got a free service, MOT and a couple of tyres for my wife's car out of it, not a bad deal I thought - just for talking and taking a couple of "print outs" with me as a sort of a joke when I initially took the car in.
Oh! and the outcome -- there was an injuction slapped on the complainant to desist the libellous claims - that's how serious that garage took it, especially as they were able to identify the person quite easily through their records.
Never mind, life's a bitch - and then you die! ROTFLMAO

I still cant belive you go around doing this....

OK. So a garage might be able to go back and determine which one of their customers it was but theres no way they can 'prove' that someone posting on google groups is, in fact, the actual person.

I'm still confused as to how you think TWA provided me with a good service.
Like I said, they did diagnose the problem correctly and I was happy with that. Agreed they have no legal requirement to take things any further.
However, at the time, they agreed to handle the necessary repairs. My issue is with the fact that that this was over a week ago and they've not done anything about it yet.
I dont want to cheat the queue or anything. If they've got other work booked in then I'll just have to wait. My issue is that they promised me that they would sort it out and havent bothered.
Like I said, I've phoned them numerous times called in and every time they promise me that they'll look at the paperwork etc, sort out a time for me to get it done and give me a call later that day. Not once have I had a call back.
Admitedly, they;ve done nothing illegal or immoral here but its not exactly good service is it? Do you really think this is OK?
Being perfectly honest, would you go back to a garage who treated you like that? Funnily enough, I'm a big believer in that if you promise to do something or call them back you should....
They still havent phoned me BTW. I dont think they ever intend to either. From my last conversation, they sort of admitted that they've got plenty of work coming in and its hassle for them to order parts from a manufacturer etc. So basically they dont really want to do it. So, again my issue is, why didnt they tell me this straight away instead of messing me about for a week or so.

So go somewhere else. You've got your diagnosis, you've warned us about them, your public service time is at an end.

Why not, I can't believe that you slag firms off for doing exactly what you asked for - but that's life I suppose.

You are trying to post anonymously through Google using the IP number
62.254.246.40 with the date and time stamp Tue, 21 Aug 2007 09:13:28 +0000 (UTC.
That refers to the fact that you are possibly posting through a works internet system COGENT-DEFENCE-SYSTEMS (probably at Nortel near the Coldra) at the above stated date and time using the NTL/virgin network.
Now, whilst you are correct in saying that the garage cannot prove that it was "an actual person" themselves, there is enough information to have a chat with your firm's IT department - who could then "track" the computer that was used to send that post - IF they were THAT interested!
OR, if the garage could prove sufficient reason, they could obtain a court order requesting the ISP and firm to give that information.
Let me know how accurate that is.
