Volvo MOT

The MOT is due on my Volvo 940 Turbo

It is great condition but there may be one problem. I had trouble with brake judder . A Volvo specialist replace the front disks, pads etc and also the rear ones. He could not get the computer to communicate with the ABS syatem ans so could not re-set the ABS warning light on the dash. The system is working perfectly and the brakes are dead on. Another dealer tried and also failed to get a connection into the system. Everything else seems to connect even to being able to read of that the air bag is in working condition.

Would the warning light be grounds for an MOT fail do you think?

...Yes if it's stuck on. Does the ABS work? It could be as simple as a bad connection to the ABS ECU or some part of the system. But your experts would have looked at that already. There is of course a low-tech way of resetting the ABS warning light!

But the light still has to come on as the ignition is turned on and go off after it has completed its diagnostics.
