Does anyone know the recommended oil for my Xantia
1.8i 1997 , 98000miles.
It's last service had Silver 10w/40 Semi Synthetic, previous was Red
10/w40 Zetec.

If its in good order and not burning much oil at that mileage stick with the
10w-40 semi, if its abit tired go to a 15w-40. I expect after reading the manual both will be suitable.its more important to change the oil regularly (half the mileage the manurfactuer says is a good start) than having the exact right quality IMHO.

According to Haynes SAE 10W40 or 15W/50 to ACEA A3.96. up to 1998. Or whatever it says in the manual. I'm not going out to the car at this time of night to get it.
