Clever. A bit heavy and more than a bit expensive (a set of 4 would cost more than I paid for for my '03 new.)

Add in the cost of a live-in helper that takes the wheels off and cleans the insides about every two days. Just a little road grime and brake dust and I don't think we'll be getting such a nifty open-window view of the brakes and suspension.

I'll just stick with my spinners.....they rule.

Yeesh... obviously aimed at the crowd that has more money than brains. More proof that PT Barnum was right: There *IS* a sucker born every minute.

As if I give a damn what your brakes look like! And how long do you think they'd stay "pretty" if you actually drove the car? Between brake dust and generic road-crud, I'd give 'em half an hour or half a mile, whichever comes first, before they'd likely be opaque anyway. (And god forbid you actually have to traverse any amount of unpaved road... For that, I'd have to say the "pretty-span" would likely be half a minute or half a block!)

Obviously... Can't demonstrate a complete lack of anything like common sense without having it cost more than the vehicle you're hanging it on, can ya? The scary part is that some moron *WILL* actually buy these things!

A fool and his money...

Yup. That's pretty much the whole point of bling: demonstrating that you have money to waste on things that are as expensive as they are tasteless.

I think I'll wait for the version that includes rear projection of DVD movies. None of those chintzy blinky-LED wheels for me!

Wanna bet the first set of these puppies in any major city will have bulletholes within a week? (If they aren't stolen first.)

I wonder if the polycarbonate is bullet-resistant to at least most pistol rounds. If not, shooting your own bullet holes could add some serious street credibility to your pimp ride.

Well my car is bone stock except the shift knob and I think it looks fine. Even if I had money to waste on stuff like that I'd rather invest in the things you can't see like the engine and suspension. Someday I want to waste my money on a Factory Five kit. :) That's bling :)

That's foolish, waste your money getting something really attractive for the passenger's seat! ;-)

Note: while that will improve the looks of the car, it can prove very costly over time, just legal fees alone when you upgrade to something newer can cost thousands!

Ain't that the truth!

I would have been able to drive a Miata a heck of a lot sooner had it not been for those legal fees and various and sundry other expenses related to the "upgrade."

I wonder what a solid polycarbonate sheet is going to do to the airflow that normally cools the brake disks...

Who cares? It look cool and costs a fortune!

Besides, nothing is going to heat up that much when they are that "KEWL!" :-)

I can't wait to laugh at the first set that I see on the street...

On this group anyway, people either seem to hate these wheels or they truly hate them, with very little middle ground.
