28.1mpg.....

Seems like a hell of a lot of money for a MIG welder if you ask me.

Gotta laugh. Hull to Portsmouth, 3 hrs 15 mins, including the time needed because the spacewagon's tank was empty at rothersthorpe. In a Spacewagon - so just how bad can a jap, front drive, van be?

Lol - I've been in Dervy's passenger seat. I think he enjoys it too, just has this odd obsession with fuel economy so doesn't enjoy it often.

good point there...

Naaaaaaaaaaah 406 was better handling, and had a better engine :)

We've argued the best handling and ride in class thing before, so i'm gonna let it drop :)

To be fair Dervy, except for being cheap, they have NOTHING going for them, and they are cheap for a reason. To slow, don't handle, too small, too flimsy, too tacky, horrible interior, but very cheap to buy/run. As a car though, they're poo :)

As long as the Ka is there i'll come to, but i'm not happy with 75 vs 2.0T Volvo vs s**te old 405 1.6 :) At least i wouldn't be last if the car was there :D And i bet i have most mods and bass ;)

Right. That's it. I reckon, sometime in the next week we should have a meet, with as many of the regulars here that can make it along, and Steve and Dervy can have this argument in real life!! In fact, I'll hire a venue and sell tickets :-)

You do jest, I hope.

They were *SHITE*. Rattly CVH gutless lump, tragic turning circle, bad seats, awful ride, not that quick, not a very good handler, and no fun to thrash.

the Mk1 XR2s, on the other hand, were quite good fun, and the 1.6 Kent can be made to produce some unlikely amounts of power... 150 bhp isn't /that/ difficult..

Where the f*ck is the A4059?

I'd go, just to watch.....

... in the rear view mirror :-p

It's a very twisty mountain road in South Wales.

It rocks.

Burwell (near Newmarket) to Liverpool, 203 miles, Volvo 760 GLE Auto, 1 hr

55 minutes. 13 gallons of petrol, and made it from the A14 near Daventry to Warrington in the time it takes to play the second cd of "War of the Worlds"

No. He'll hammer you. He neglected to mention it's a 5 cyl 140bhp diseasel estate. Got it chipped yet Pete?

That's a long way from the South Wales Valleys.

That's North Wales for you.

South Wales is pretty cop free at the moment.

Reply to
SteveH

Oh bugger :) Is this road very twisty? 'Cos Audi's don't really handle, and if its a big barge of an estate....no, he's still gonna hammer me :)
