Aye, it's an S14 Touring. The one with leather and slushomatic.
Nice car, but it's since been written off.

I had one of those! (The Escy btw) Looks like a 1.4 or 1.6 LX or GL ??

1.6 GL 'Plus', apparently.
Not *too* bad as Escorts go - lots of toys (all of which worked) and a twin-choke Weber carb, so it (relatively speaking) went a bit, too.
It was absolutely immaculate - having been owned by a lesbian couple for
8 years of it's life - they also had a full Ford history for it.- Vote on answer

Mine too- 1.4 GL plus, CDL, Sunroof, Leccie windas all round, leccie mirrors, heated mirrors & front screen it was all there, and worked too!
The 1.4 went not so bad once you got the 2nd barrel open over 3000rpm. 34mpg whether you thrashed it or drove like a granny wasnt so good though!
The tasman blue always did look pretty smart.

Which reminds me, I hope you enjoyed the noise of the Alfa "Mostro" on Top Gear last Sunday.

Indeed I did. I *really* want one of them.
Closest I'm likely to get is a GTV6, though :-(

The glory years for buying them was about two years after they were made. A mate bought one and had it in his office as a piece of art. After a couple of years he hit the 90s as they hit back hard and he had to sell the assets. IIRC he only got a couple of K for the car and others with low and zero miles were selling at the same price. A few years later and people started to recognise what a stonking car it was and values recovered.
