Yup. They're clean, the bus drivers are reasonably well behaved too.
This is Leeds. It's skanky.

Heh, well I've no problem admitting that I'm poor.
I'm sure you could say that the main disadvantage of driving a car is that you have to share the roads with rich toffs.
Heh heh. You too!
Yes but it has much more bulk to shift. That's excluding drivers, too... ;)
I too enjoy the drive to Edinburgh. But not to London.
Nah, it's not impossible...
I have an advantage, Charlie works the railways so she has a pretty good idea of how to get to somewhere.
But the point is that if somewhere's difficult to get to, it's probably because there's a reason for it... like Norwich? :)
And at a better rate than us mere mortals (or have they removed the employee and family free and discount travel deals?).
Yeah, and rich toffs in Range Rovers that would have trouble judging the width of a Smart car at that.
Peter
Ah - but DOES it? The kerb weight of mine is only 1050kg.....i bet yours isn't much less than that?
I have to agree with Steve here.
A bus full of Adidas/Kappa-clad Townies/Pikeys/Whatevers is NOT a nice place to be !
Pikey ;-)
You don't have to share your car tho... :)
It's york though, even the pikeys are fairly posh :)
Oh yes. That could be worth a fortune in terms of gross pay. :)
Uhm, yeah I do....
150 kg less. Which is over ten percent.
But, yes, you have the power to weight advantage. The advantage is narrower when it comes to torque to weight...
Then i best make sure i keep it on the boil ;) I have 50% more power, so i'll just hangaround up there in the rev range :D
With other strangers... ?
Aye, I've done this before. Currently walk to work for the most part so it doesn't matter any more.
Yeah. Shame that torque-to-weight is completely meaningless.
The ones who lived next door to us, and who took to crapping in the back yard when their toilet broke didn't seem that posh to me :-)
It would be if we were both driving at about 2,000rpm - cos mine doesn't peak till 3,000 :) It doesn't then make peak power till 6,000, but luckily i am willing to drive it there :)
