I want to make something utterly mental, out of something only partly mental, and sell it to a drug fuelled rock and roller for a stupid profit.
Does some one want to lend me £100,000 inte rest free.

On Fri, 28 Aug 2009 23:02:23 +0100, Elder yelled loudly:
That is very cool but also seriously HFM given that you can get a decent Turbo R saloon for less than £15k these days according to the article about them in last month's Practical Classics..
You've also got the problem of their not being so many drug-fuelled rock'n'rollers about these days, more's the pity. They've all turned into shandy drinking vegetarians. I think that's the main thing wrong with the world. Too many Chris Martin types..

That'll be the article they rang me for advice with ;-)
Troo.
What you need to do is catch them on the way up, when the fresh record=20 contract advances are burning hole. Then you make it so excessive and=20 get it some TV/Magazine/Internet coverage across the world. Then watch=20 them flock. Run it on LPG and even the environ-mentalist superstars will=20 like it. All we need is for someone to get a workable algae performance=20 petrol in production.
They can already grow it for crackable oil for diesel, and low=20 performance petrol spirt, and for ethanol.
An E85 made entirely from algae, grown on spare land next to the=20 effluent and exhaust pollution from power stations would give higher=20 performance in the vehicle, not rape food stocks, use land that=20 otherwise might be ignored, not use fossil stocks, and clean the=20 pollution from the powerstation.
A small scale test in CZ has a biodiesel rather than cracked oil diesel=20 algae plant running off the exhaust from the council incinerator. The=20 bin wagons bring the waste for burning rather than landfill, the algae=20 is crushed for oil then it is made into bio, and is used to run the=20 trucks. Any excess is sold to taxi drivers.
The left over algae remnants can be added to cattle feed, or pressed and=20 burned as solid fuel.
If I can make all that work, I could be onto a winner.
Oh, here's a thought, how about a V8 superlimo, running big turbo and=20 supercharger, running mix of E85, batteries, and CNG from a waste=20 digester, battery at low speed, switching to CNG to move arround town,=20 switching to E85 when boost builds and it needs to go some.=20
Variable valve timing, a low boost supercharger with a bypass and=20 switchable pully and high boost big hoofing turbo should sort out=20 compression/timing changes for the different fuels.
