and in a recent test drive, top gear's resident testers managed to overcook the brakes ot such and extent, the pads caught fire :)

I'd go for the Brabus EV12 personally.

That's so cool. I've eaten a set of pads on my S60 in a rediculously short time, often smoking after a back road blast. Audis aren't that much better, the last one I had free reign in was also smoking wildly from the brakes when I parked it up, that was a TT...

Road car brakes are designed for long life and safe braking - some of my nex paypacket is heading Brembo's way...

had green stuff pads on my MK1 MR2 lasted barely 2000 miles :) and brake fade was really bad! Mk1 MR2 brakes are pretty small and not that good but it is 80's tech ;)

MR2 Turbo's are better but i think better pads could make them feel a lot better plus some fresh brake fluid as well.

Been steered away from greenstuff / redstuff and towards some Ferodo DS pads.

Holy S*it they have twin turbo'd the S4 4.2 litre engine :)

They did it some time ago in the non-plus RS6 :)

Nah, get a Mitsubishi Legnum VR4. Better than the RS6 by a mile and a half. OK it's not as fast, but it isn't an Audi which is worth 1,000s of binus points.
