Yup...
They're good enough machines, but the 2.5 V6 feels diluted in the current model compared to previous generation Mondeos - probably emission control related. Yeuck, emission control!
TDCi a more wholesome proposition overall really. But dearer to buy. Nah I'd prefer the TDCi but could see the sense (!) in the V6.
Oh right :)
It's not my car/choice/problem - Mum likes the colour, so it was the obvious choice really... As for the Derv idea, they do about 100 miles a year, so it's not really necessary, and the V6 is probably better for towing the caravan. I have little interest really as I'll probably never drive it, and have no desire what so ever to drive it.
V6 or modern TD better for towing. Right, that's a whole new can o' worms opened.....
Don't care, don't care, don't care :)
Mum liked it, cos it was silver, and quite fast. She doesn't like diesels, so it was never an option.
In news: snipped-for-privacy@individual.net, DanTXD wrote something quite bizarre, possibly in an effort to confuddle the world. It went like so;
Wahey for the DanMum - who appears to have more taste in cars than most of us lot :-p

She also drives fast, over takes everything in sight, and has a motorbike :)
V6 TDI? :)
She needs a Corsa, she does.
I think you missed the point about towing caravans. And vaguely fast. And quite big. Actually I didn't specify the criteria anywhere did I? That's how little it affects me :)
you can only toe at 60 mph, on the motorway there is no limit to how fast you can get there though :) did i mention my granada's got a toe bar on the end of it? no? you should really get yourself an alfa diesel then :)
