Hi, my name is Stu and this is my first time on this forum. I drive a

3.1 V6 Peugeot 406 Coupe with over 500bhp. It has a supercharger, multipoint nos, intercooler, water inj, autronics ECU and a massive list of other parts. I have either completed the work or assisted on everything that has been done to it and also have a modded 106 XSi. If anyone wants any advice on mods or to share any ideas I would be interested. This is my 8th forced induction car and have lots of contacts in the industry for cheaper bits and manufacturing one offs.

Cool, we shall await pictures and dyno plots with baited breath.

Greetings Stu.

500+ bhp from a Pug V6 Coupé seems to be a tad optimistic, but I shall give you the benefit of the doubt, just for fun.

I just wonder how you managed to get that amount of poke from the V6. Venturi only managed to get 300 bhp from the closely related PRV V6 using twin turbos. Now, the Pug V6 in the 406 is a slightly better engine design, so I'd say 350 bhp would be within the realms of possibility with either a huuuuuge supercharger or a couple of turbos, but I'd love to see how you could squeeze a large enough supercharger under the tightly packed 406 bonnet, I'd estimate you'd be needing about 20psi of boost - which'd mean either a big charger or a small charger overdriven like hell and costing power at the top end.

Interesting, can I see some pics?

It's also been bored out to 3.1 litres too :-)

350bhp + 150bhp shot of nitrous?

But yes, pics would be interesting to see Stu

Pete,

Look at the pics and you see the airbox has gone, ecu moved, battery in the boot, plenty of cutting and welding and yes it has fitted when loads of companies wouldn't even touch it, saying it won't fit. Thanks.

Nicely done I have to say.

The Max Power bit isn't something to be proud of though... my old Cossie was in that once, but after I sold it. October '98, the green one.

Thing that really pissed me off was they made up the specification, completely made it up.. it had 528 bhp and dyno printouts to prove, yet they printed "385 BHP" all over the place. They also appeared to guess every other thing to do with the car despite having a comprehensive, precise spec sheet in front of them.

Pete, I agree Max Power did the same with me by making up carppy comments I had made. They also invited me up to the NEC stating I would be inside on a particular stand. When I got there they had bodged it and had to put me in a corner where no one could see it. They also put a picture of a gauge on it that I didn't have in the car.

Thanks Stu

At the end of the day its still a bloody peugeot.

and not a derv powered one either, which makes it bad.period

Rob(still suffering from friday nights late night rescue of a 406 saloon and the never running 205 gti)

spammer/wannabe/maxpower tossbag i dont care less. to me sounds like a credit card build with everything bought readymade and done by someone else.

now if you decide to turn the engine round drop a back axle in and turn it into a drfit weapon i'd perhaps be tempted.

Rob What do you drive? I wish it was a creditcard job as that would make me rich. Why do you think it took 5 years. PS can you read, well you did say ready made bits? Most of the stuff is development, which means trial & error and lots of headaches. Also I don't care what make a car is, if you have the enthusiasm you can get anything to work, or drop in a lump that will do the job. Thanks for all the nice, indifferent and carp replies, as this is my last post. PS Hope to see you soon Carl.

Stu

FYI rob drives a nice practical and sensible A4 avant TDi

although lurking round the back of the house and in the garage theres a bx gti a 205 gti a ragtop megane a vauxhall midi a 406 saloon and as of last night a escort van

Change the record, Ken.

You're not even being relatively amusing by posting fuckwitted s*it anymore.

I don't think he drives at all.

He goes everywhere in the special yellow minibus.

Pretty much everyone knows Alfa's are complete cack, and the same goes for crappy Chinese bikes.................

k

He's using google.

Google are evil and are ruining usenet.

Not a car, so not relevant to this NG, sorry, no relevant posting is by invitation only. And you have been blackballed by popular vote.

You're right, It's still very easy to post properly with google groups, it's just not as immediately obvious as it should be.
