I vividly remember a BMW 745i being campaigned against up here in scotland. Monstrous horsepower courtesy of AVA turbos. It seldom won against the lesser powered more nimble opposition. Sunbeam Lotus and Chevette HSR would regularly beat it once the weight got the better of the brakes and dampers. This may sound like old fashioned nonsense I'm talking here but if you're talking about performance then weight is definitely your enemy. And not just when considering acceleration. It affects braking and handling as well. It's so obvious it's not even worth talking about.

nope, was using that for comparison to BMW325.

Mine is a lowly 2.0Ts, 180bhp, 240Nm, 30.7 combined, 0-60 8.8, which I compared to a 320i.

Bit too low, that's the problem... hence why a Multispace is top of the list - I'm 6'3", and even I'd have trouble smacking my head on the roof when loading the rear of it.
