Mini Review: Mini Cooper S Convertible

Sep 12, 2007 4 Replies

I test drove a 56plate Mini Cooper S Convertible today for want of something better to do:

A bit wobbly, quick enough, rubbish rear legroom, complicated looking hood, hooringly expensive.

Conversely and oddly, I was out in a 52 plate Cooper S hatch tonight. Amazingly good heater, crap legroom with someone in the back. Decent torque but ridiculously long first gear - it would do 45mph in 1st...

Hmm sounds like my ideal car means I'd rarely have to change gear :)

whoops sorry yeah i do i was thinking series 2 not MK2 the bosy 80's one :)
