Made me smile, anyway...
Have you heard Cradle of Filth?
Richard
I'm familiar with their work...
I noticed on the bottom of the 'ad' they mention the Devonshire Arms in Camden. Been in there. They turned away a couple of guys in suits who came in for a drink.
I've never been to the Dev, it's full of bloody posers ;)
Richard (who isn't a goth. And last did a non-black load of laundry sometime in the 1990s).
RichardK waffled thus:
Lol you're right! I'm not a Londoner; I was taken there for a drink by a relative of mine ;)
Sounds like my wife, but extend that out to about 1988... She's listening to Placebo these days, but is still a goth at heart!
Have "A slight case of overbombing" on the car CD player permanently these days.
"This Corrosion"...
Well, not exactly in the same vein, but I've just put on "C'mon Kids" by the Boo Radleys. Cracking tune, and nothing like "Wake up Boo" for anyone who only knew that one.
Now that brings back memories.
At university one girl used to run away whenever she saw me - black leather, long black hair, eyeliner, etc.
Now I'm married to her.

I used to be a temple of love fanatic. But just recently I find myself loving Mother Russia and Vision thing.
Sounds like me at college, but wayne hussey styloe raybans instead of eye liner.
All my goth friends in high school started taking prozac and ended up becoming ravers.
Fraser
Vision thing is a brilliant brilliant album.

Fraser Johnston waffled thus:
Prolly calling themselves 'Cybergoths'...
It has the foul stench of Steinman all over it. First And Last And Always is far, far better if you're not into unchallenging AOR.
However, Vision Thing is far, far better than Floodland.
Though, why people are discussing Sisters in a goth-related thread beats me.
Richard
Placebo is SO Emo. Next it'll be Richie-era Manics.
Cybergoths are very useful. The beach isn't well lit in Whitby, so you just crack a few glowsticks (they're generally loaded with them) and set them on the way.
Richard
You guys are strange :)
Maybe it is you who are strange...
Richard
NeedforSwede2 waffled thus:
Heh, I was more of the studded and patched denim jacket and bullet belt brigade myself back then. Thrash metal all the way ;)
Who let all the wierdos out?
being with the other goths made me feel individual ;)
