Check over on misc - could be a cheap (albeit tatty) 16v Corrado with not too much work - based on the Mk2 Golf chassis, but more modern looking - could be worth a punt.

I know of a J reg VR6 for £750 too if you're interested. Needs head gasket doing though - not completely shot but using lots of water apparently. Plus a couple of other minors bits.
It was just a "I wonder what they will find wrong with this" type=20 thread, pretty much like everyone elses "another new car thread" posts.
I actually have no clue what I'll end up with. although I have been eying up 156 V6's. Yes I know it will drink fuel,=20 but Hmmmmmm, Alfa V6 :)
