That is why I like my GSi. Quite normal looking front and back.. well the front is slightly different but nobody notices that and the rear has the goal post on.

Cheers for links, will go look at them. Seen the regal shop before - but heard less than complimentory things about them.

More fun though. I have 23mpg on my clock atm. Normally it is

18-20mpg. I am experimenting with low revs and super petrol. Getting bored though and might just start making the turbo work hard again.

Yup. I worked in Bristol a while back (200 miles from home) and that was pretty good mpg most trips.

Heh, been there last week. Tyres were shot.

Well, I generally get 8-12k on mine - so does not sound like it changes much.

Can be fun when cornering at speed. First time it kicked in when I was cornering hard the front end was dipping a tad and the car was understeering a tad - the car slowed down for me and then when it levelled it started shooting forward again. Thought I had broken something. Actually - not sure that is the traction control, probably some stability program or such,.,..

Yes, had a couple of mechanics tell me that this astra is much better than my previous one (previous Astra was an 97R GSi)

Mixed thoughts on that. It does give the game away a tad - sure to be a head turner. Will prolly still not see many of them. I am not convinced yet that I like the new Astra shape. It does remind me a lot of the previous shape.
