Looks like me and my 306 have missed all the fun.

Shame really. I could have set my fuel pump to smoke screen and clogged up your air filters.

Hmm. I wonder if my smoke would work against speed cameras too?

ok 'hands up' I bought a Renault 25 2.0gts for 200quid while my calibra was having some work done to it about 3 months ago. I have now sold that as well as my calibra to the same friend. I also bought about 3 months ago a 306 for the missus (which had loads of agro if anyone remembers) if that makes anyone feel better :)

Oh and I like the sound of You've a 2.3 lpt... Adding a stage 2 from elkparts will turn this up to 246 bhp, all for an ecu, cat back and air filter... bargain. Been working for me for 20k miles....

hmmm shall I shant I,..........yep! may have to be in a months time now though as my insurance company wont insure me unless I have a cat1 alarm fitted. had a quote from a mate for 275 quid.... ba**ards.

The 9-5 has thatcham cat 1 from the factory....

Weird, the aa insurance defiantly stated they wouldn't insure me unless I put one in. Could someone confirm the cat1 situation please. I'll also ring saab on Monday to find out. I got to call them anyway to get the service history (i only got the stamps) to see whats been done to it.

Thanks murphwiz ;)

All UK spec 9-5's since launch have Cat 1 security, inc glass break and tilt sensor, transponder imobiliser... do not loose the keys/remote!!! Best bet for any saab q's is one of the forums...

yep, you were right. Been into a saab dealer on the way to work and they are all factory fitted cat1. That saves me some money :) have contacted the insurance compay and asked them wtf they playing at and they have now logged the car as having one. on another note having had a good look at the car over the weekend, all i can see it needs is new set of front disks and pads as well as an oil breather pipe. Of course its due a service but i dont fancy paying for a saab one.

PCV hoses are fairly common, worth changing them all, and the valve, should only cost £30 from dealer. go to somewhere like GSF for discs and pads, they do the brembo's very cheap!

Yeah, took me a while to find mine. There are loads of very cheap ones around, but they're all screwed. You've gotta spend a bit more for a minter :)

What pads have you gone for, out of interest ? I've always been very pleased with EBC's kit :)

Textar are OEM pads... Avoid EBC greenstuffs on a heavy car like a SAAB, Mintex 1144's are good, as are Ferodo DS2500's but not cheap!

Also for Volvo, and they seem good for me!

There was one for £550 on eBay the other day, think it was an M or N plate :/

There appears to be a few good-looking ones for little more than a grand on Autotrader right now - although it's impossible to say without going for a look.

Agreed. I'd go for EBC Redstuff if I were you - I've got em on my 620 TI, and I've been very pleased with them. They're reasonably priced too.
