I've been thinking about installing a CAI in my 03 GT 5 speed. The car is stock and I have no plans of doing any major mods, but looking for a little more boost.
Any thoughts on the systems and will be appreciated.
Plus if it is worth it, which system is the best?
CAI add very little hp. If that's what your looking for, CAI is not your answer. I have a K&N Gen II. I'm very happy with the purchase and I do get better throttle response and maybe a bit more hp but nothing major. Besides, it looks great.
If your going to purchase a CAI you want to stay away from products that have a 90 degree bend after the MAF.
Ditto all that except the 90 degree bend you mention would be after the filter, not after the MAF.

It radically changes the path that the airflow takes and renders an inaccurate reading at the sensor.
