I have a near-stock 98 Mustang GT & I've been looking at X pipes... all that I've seen are 2.5", but my exhaust is 2.25"... what can I do? I already have

Actually, screw it. I need to learn more about how exhaust systems work before I even think about spending a dime. Can anybody point me to a few good references online? Thanks. *Googles*.

A good local independant guy can do that. There is a guy around me that is way out in the woods and specializes in highperformance work. He's a builder and racer from way back and all the drag racers get their custom work done there. I've seen him cut the inlet and outlet tubes on a 2 1/4" muffler where they bell down out of the box to the pipe and make a 2.5" hole and weld on new pipe. He even does the same with stainless. I should add... I'm gonna try to find a good off-road H-pipe rather than an x-pipe. Listened to plenty of sound clips & I just don't like the X as much as the H.
