I've never owned a Nissan, but I was considering buying since I'm in need of a new truck. I was wondering how good the Nissan's ranked in their early to mid 90's model PU's. Anyone here know?

'87 Hardbody. Z24 Engine. Over 320k miles. Lots of hard miles. Never any major problems - just water pump (fan clutch), alternator, starter, then the usual brakes, shocks, tires, ect... Castrol 10/40 every 3000 miles.
"My" '87 is now being used by a Church in anaheim. I have no idea how many miles on it. I gave it to them five years ago.
My buddy Brian's '89 was just sold earlier this year. He wanted air conditioning.
My buddy John sold his '87 two years ago after 400K miles.
My buddy Charles still has his. The odometer broke after 270K miles about six years ago. We have no clue how many miles he's got now.
Any more questions?
KWow, they are way cheaper than toyotas, yet seem to last just as long. Sounds like I know what to look for now. If only I could find one with an Automatic transmission, V6, and an extra cab without having to buy newer than a 99'.

Yeah, I'm hoping to find a 2 door though because I've seen some of the 4 door models and it seems to make the bed a lot smaller and I like to have a little bit of a bed.

My '87 was auto. Still shifted like it was new when I got rid of it. Would "Bark" the tires when it shifted if I was into it (as much as you can get into a 4 cyl). Maintenance Baby, Maintenance!
We had a 89 with the auto tranny. My father in law still has it. 180k with no problems. Bed is rusty away though.
My 87 2 door's bed was 74.6 inches. Same as my '02 SVE King Cab 2 door. 4 door Crew Cab long bed is also 74.6 inches.
